Kathleen, the pure, comes from the Gaelic Caitlin, which itself comes from the ancient Greek Aikaterine. I named this one after a very dear customer whose picture you can see wearing a Flora bodice on that page. She was visiting my booth one day when I had a prototype of this new style hanging up. I asked her to try it on for me - it fit her really well and looked great. Wish I’d taken a picture of her. |

The side and front lacings all have my usual nylon boning sewn in. As you can see, it works just as well worn next to bare skin as it does with a pretty blouse. This would be a great bodice for Pirate Festivals as well as those more Celtic in nature. |
