Here’s Jay Atwood - didg player extraordinaire - grooving with The Wicked Tinkers at the Sonora Celtic Faire. Every time I see him at Festivals he’s wearing his Alasdair jerkin which he has had for a few years now. See my links page if you want to learn more about Jay and his music. |

This popular unlined leather jerkin has eight picadills falling from the waistline, although I often put a peplum (as shown at right) on the larger sizes. The Colorado mountain man who was collecting deer antlers to make buttons has gone where old mountain men go, so I am now making the Antique Brown version with nice brass Celtic knot buttons. There are 2 inside hidden pockets for your glasses and cell phone. Although the pockets are quite big, I do not recommend putting much more in them as the leather may distort.
Please refer to my sizing chart to see if you fit a standard size or will need a custom fit and state your preference of silver tone or brass buttons, and peplum or picadills. |
